I never though this day would come either, but thank you so much to everyone who’s messaged about Emu, I never in a million years thought I’d have had this response.

Truth is this car has gotten me through some extremely tough times in my life, she’s been more than a car, she’s been my company and safety when I’m out in the middle of nowhere and has helped me meet so many incredible people, making friendships that truly will last a lifetime. She did that, not me. I’m just a young woman from Barnsley with big ideas, a heart for adventure and a huge love for that god damn pain in the backside green oval.

People always joke ‘when are you going to get a real car?’ Or ‘even your Freelander could do that’ Well as for the ‘proper car’ maybe some day, maybe never. But she has NEVER let me down, she’s been laning, shes been off-roading, I mean I have put her through her paces and she’s surprised me and a lot more people in the process. And I know it’s said in jest but to me she’s not just a ‘car’ she’s been my entire life for the last 3 years so yes, understandably sometimes the comments do hit a nerve, but it’s fine, everyone has their opinion.

She may just be a freelander to some but she’s been my absolute rock for just over 3 years. Soon it will be time to say goodbye to her but good things come to those who wait, and what will she be replaced with 🤷🏻‍♀️ only time will tell.

Emu 3.0 pending …
