Shopping List

Before I ever owned a Land Rover I knew exactly what I wanted. I knew I always wanted a Defender and I knew one day I'd have my own.. So I started compiling a list of things that when I finally owned my own I would get done to it. Obviously safety and security being a top priority, but also what I could do to make it completely my own.

I bought the car and as you can see from the picture below, it was completely standard, but how am I going to put my tent on? How am I going to keep getting in and out of this HUGE car without damaging my knees in the long run? I may only look young but with 30 creeping up on me very soon I think I need to start looking after myself a little too. (Plus my grandmas going to need to be able to get in and she could only just get in the Freelander)

I needed a roof rack for the tent and some nice side steps to help up get in and out of the car. I did a little bit of looking around and asked for some recommendations, and many people mentioned Flatdog.. A Land Rover specialist company who make bespoke items as well as stocking some of the best brands around, plus they're only an hour away from my home town AND they do FREE FITTING whilst you wait! Perfect because there is no way my short arse can reach to be putting on a roof rack.

I took the car in and an hour or so later (after adding a rear half ladder to the shopping list) we drove away very happy! Great customer service and so much stock in the shop that I could have spent way more than I actually did, I had to limit myself. I would definitely reccomend to any Landy owner, should you be in the Gainsborough area or passing through you need to take a detour to Flatdog as you won't be disappointed.
